Supporting Dance Schools, Inspiring Growth, and Celebrating the IDTA Across Scotland

The IDTA Scotland Theatre Committee is dedicated to supporting IDTA schools across Scotland through exam sessions, training days, and inspiring events. Our mission is to provide opportunities for teachers and dancers to learn, connect, and perform — strengthening our community and driving the growth of the IDTA throughout Scotland. With passion, professionalism, and collaboration at our core, we’re here to help Scottish dance education thrive.

About the IDTA Scotland Theatre Committee

We are the IDTA Scotland Theatre Committee — a dedicated team supporting dance schools, teachers, and students across Scotland through exams, training, and events that promote excellence and growth within the IDTA community.

Our primary role is to support and represent IDTA Theatre branch members across Scotland by organising training days, workshops, exam sessions, and events. We aim to strengthen communication and collaboration among teachers, creating opportunities that enrich learning and elevate the standard of dance education nationwide.

Working with IDTA HQ

We work closely with IDTA Headquarters to support schools, teachers, and dancers across Scotland and uphold the highest standards in dance education.

Key Achievement:

In May 2025, we proudly hosted Scotland’s first-ever IDTA Dance Master heat — a landmark event celebrating and inspiring male dancers across the country. This event provided a vital platform for young men to showcase their talent, build confidence, and feel supported within the IDTA community.
